OverviewFrom 1732 until the Georgia charter was resigned to the English Crown in 1752, all leases of land made to settlers could not be mortgaged, sold, or otherwise disposed of. After Georgia became a Royal Province, fee simple grants giving a clear title to the recipient were required to be made. This publication offers the sixth volume of these royal grants abstracted, covering the counties of Bullock, Candler, Evans, Liberty, Long, and Tattnall which were all originally St. Paul Parish.
