Overview

"Introduce essential first words to curious toddlers with this fantastic BIG board book. FIRST 100 WORDS helps busy, curious toddlers explore their world and develop their vocabulary. There are questions to answer on every page, lots to spot and giggle at and a lift-the-flap matching game to play. Arranged by familiar themes like animals, toys, food and vehicles, essential first words are placed in engaging contexts that prompt further talking and interaction between parents, carers and little ones. ""These books are fun to share . . . they encourage speech and help children grasp new concepts"" - Dr Jacqueline Harding-Vallance, Child Development Consultant Also available: FIRST 100 ANIMAL WORDS"

Author Information

Pat-a-Cake (Author) Pat-a-Cake takes you and your child on a magical journey. From sharing the very first baby book to watching your little one read all by themselves. The adventure begins here . . . Villie Karabatzia (Illustrator) Villie was born in Athens and studied illustration at Ornerakis School of Applied Art. Having worked as a children's book illustrator since 2008, she loves creating playful characters, interesting compositions and giving emphasis on colour, working often digitally, but also traditionally, with a fresh and whimsical style. Villie gets much inspiration from her cat, and also from life, experiences and dreams. Her favourite children's story is 'The Little Prince', by Antoine de Saint-Exupery. Her lifetime ambition, is to own a horse - but she's happy to settle for cat - for the time being!!
