Author Information

The Finding Your Feet in Chicago author, Veronique Martin-Place, is an experienced expatriate spouse and mom. She has already had three relocations around the globe, plus a move back home to France from 2005 to 2008. She lived in Norway for three years from 1999 to 2002 and spent three years in Sri Lanka from 2002 to 2005, where she became the mother of two adorable TCKs. She has been living in Chicago, USA, since July 2008. Facing a new relocation and then a new professional adjustment, she decided to launch her own portable career in the writing and editing industry in 2009. Her small business, Writer Forever (www.writerforever.com/), was born. She specialises in topics such as expatriation, parenting abroad, expat women, travel, and education as well as children's books. Those subjects are the core of her expat identity, and Veronique is thrilled to influence and positively advise people through her writing. She works either in French or English. She is a regular contributing writer for online magazines and websites such as ExpatLive, ExpatInfoDesk, Families in the Loop, Femmexpat, France USA Media, SuperExpat, and Think French. She also has her own blog about expat issues in French: http://expatforever.blogspot.com/. Veronique holds a PhD in Political Science.
