Currently residing in Sarasota, Florida, with his wife, Cynthia, Michael retired from a successful financial consulting business in Manchester, New Hampshire--the state that the Vaal family called home post-World War II, and the community in which Michael and Cynthia raised their own three children. Future plans include a second book about the valiant efforts of the members of Belgium and Holland's underground ""White Brigade"" of World War II."
