Reviews

Sikov is remarkably clear in his explanation of the technical elements of film as well as conceptual matters. Film Studies makes conceptually challenging material part of the introductory experience. -- Katherine Fusco, author of Silent Film and U.S. Naturalist Literature: Time, Narrative, and Modernity

Author Information

Ed Sikov has taught at Haverford College, Colorado College, and Columbia University. He is the author of seven books, including Laughing Hysterically: American Screen Comedy of the 1950s (Columbia, 1994).
