Phyllis Vine is the author of Families in Pain, the first book to discuss family relationships of the mentally ill. As a tenured professor of American history at Sarah Lawrence College until 1989, she included courses in the History of Healthcare. She was a founding member of NAMI-New York State and served on the Carter Center's annual Rosalynn Carter Mental Health Symposium. She currently serves as the President of the Board of Directors of Gould Farm. Sara Sheckells has told stories as a radio host, a costumed tour guide, and now as an audiobook narrator. A former educator, her specialized knowledge of college life, adolescence, and career development informs her narration in multiple genres including literary fiction, memoirs, thrillers, self-development, and women's fiction.
