OverviewGeorge Fraser has been a significant contributor to the great flowering of human and clinical genetics of the last half century. He has made major contributions to clinical genetics, to the delineation of syndromes (including Fraser syndrome), and to the amelioration of inherited disabilities of hearing and sight. This festschrift includes contributions from some sixty of George Fraser's colleagues, friends and former students. They range over all of the fields tilled by George himself, and include new scientific papers, reviews, and reminiscences. Carolyn Leach is a research fellow in the discipline of genetics in the University of Adelaide. Oliver Mayo is a research fellow in CSIRO, Australia's national research organisation, and an adjunct professor of biometry in the University of Adelaide.
