OverviewExcerpt from Fifth Annual Report of the State Mineralogist: For the Year Ending May 15, 1885 The People of the State of California, represented in Senate and Assembly, do enact as' follows: section 1. All property of this State pertaining to said Mining Bureau, and the money and financial affairs thereof, shall be vested in and be under the direction and control of a Board of Trustees of said Bureau. Sec. 2. It shall be the duty of the Governor of the State to appoint five (5) citizens and residents of this State to be such Trustees.
