Matteo Vincenzo d’Alfonso is Professor of Philosophy at the University of Ferrara (Italy). His research focuses on classical German philosophy from Kant to Schopenhauer. He authored Il male nel mondo, Milano/Udine, 2017, Schopenhauers Kollegnachschriften der Metaphysik- und Psychologievorlesungen G. E. Schulzes (Göttingen 1810), Würzburg, 2008, Vom Wissen zur Weisheit. Fichtes Wissenschaftslehre 1911, Amsterdam/New York, 2005, and several papers about the philosophy of Schopenhauer and Fichte.
