OverviewFairies abound in the realms of myth and folklore. They have enchanted humans for centuries--but are these mischievous, ethereal creatures more than just myth? One could ask for no better guide to the fairy realm than Ralph Harvey, one of England's foremost modern-day witches. In Fairy Lore he intersperses his own intriguing fairy encounters (among them, a mysterious musical interlude in an Irish valley) with succinct yet interesting introductions to the folktales of the fae. Within Fairy Lore you will learn: ● How fairies influenced everyone from Henry III to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle ● The best ways to seek out fairies (hint: aligning your chakras will help) and how to express gratitude for fairy favors ● How to create charms to protect against fairies and other supernatural beings ● Which gemstones and crystals draw specific types of fairy and elemental beings ● Why roses have special meaning to fairies and why ""elf bolts"" are significant as well Full Product DetailsAuthor: Ralph Harvey , Mike CooperPublisher: Tantor Audio Imprint: Tantor Audio ISBN: 9798874882372Publication Date: 03 September 2024 Audience: General/trade , General Format: Audio Publisher's Status: Active Availability: In Print This item will be ordered in for you from one of our suppliers. Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationRalph Harvey (1928-2020) was the head of the Order of Artemis, which in itself encompasses over two hundred traditional Wiccan covens worldwide. Harvey was a repository of witchcraft research in its purest, original form and a longtime believer in the magical fairy realm. He authored many books including Boudicca Queen of Death and British Witchcraft. Mike Cooper is a British voice talent who left big-city life in London for a log cabin in the Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina. Mike is recognizable from his years with the BBC World Service, and as the narrator of countless television documentaries. A disruptive influence in school, Mike's first break in narration came at age six, when his teacher realized he could tell the afternoon story better than her (and she could get a nap by way of a bonus). When he's not in his home studio, you'll find him enjoying hobby farm life and tending to two charming pet goats, named Baxter and Hazel. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
