Author Information

William Guéraiche is an Associate Professor at the University of Wollongong in Dubai, UAE (UOWD) and teaches International Security. He is the Director of the master’s degree programme in International Relations. His research examines the UAE's foreign policy, diplomacy and international cooperation.   Kristian Alexander is a Senior Fellow at TRENDS Research & Advisory in Abu Dhabi (UAE), where he is the Director of the International Security & Terrorism Program, and an adviser at Gulf State Analytics, a geopolitical risk consultancy based on Washington, DC, USA. He previously worked as an Assistant Professor at Zayed University in Abu Dhabi. His research examines the significance of social movements in the Middle East and security-related issues, especially those pertaining to migration in the Gulf Corporation Council.
