Erica and Michael Booker, residents of sunny Southern California, are stepping into the world of children's literature as first-time authors. Their home is filled with love, shared with their two children, two dogs, and their chatty cat. The Bookers found inspiration in their youngest son's love for elevators. They penned Ezra the Elevator's Challenging Climb to not only share their son's passion, but also to emphasize the importance of positivity and resilience in overcoming life's challenges. Sebastian Alvatorre is a motion designer based in Southern California with years of experience in design, animation and illustration. A lifelong dream to illustrate a children's book, Sebastian jumped at the opportunity to work with the authors on this project. With the help of his spouse, and much like with the characters of this book, he has taken on multiple endeavors that have challenged him and have pushed him out of his comfort zone. Being able to relate to the book's message, Sebastian is grateful for the opportunity to relay to others the message of overcoming through his abilities as an illustrator.
