Author Information

"Sverine's journey as a children's book author is as colorful and diverse as the places she has explored. Born in a small town at the foot of the French Alps and raised in Sngal, West Africa, she is a true world traveler. Sverine has lived on four continents and visited over thirty-five countries, gathering experiences that enrich her stories. Her favorite travel memories include shopping in the souk of Marrakech, backpacking to the top of Machu Picchu, being a mahout ""in-training"" in an elephant's sanctuary in Thailand, dog sledding on an icy lake in Qubc, and navigating the bustling streets of Mumbai from the back of a tuk-tuk. Growing up without modern distractions like phone, TV, or computer, Sverine developed a deep love for reading books, playing board games, and enjoying the outdoors and the beach. This fondness for simple pleasures laid the foundation for her creativity and appreciation for storytelling. Sverine pursued an academic path that led to a Bachelor's degree in Business and Communication, followed by a Master in Nonprofit Management. She is also a French coach for primary and high school students and holds certificates in TOEFL, special education needs, and autism awareness. After working in the publishing industry for fifteen years and managing global operations of a professional association for nearly a decade, Sverine found a new direction in her career as a children's book author. This pivot was spurred by a significant emotional trauma that affected her vocal abilities, driving her to channel her extensive travels and professional expertise into creating stories for children. A mother of twins, Sverine uses her childhood passions and experiences from around the world to shape her book series, ""Color Me Culture."" Her books invite young readers to journey through different countries and cities, exploring traditions around the world, and introducing them to various cultures and customs. Her goal is to enrich children's literature by blending educational content with creative storytelling and interactive coloring activities, while fostering cultural exploration and language learning. Through her books, Sverine aims to help children celebrate both the diversity that makes us unique and the similarities that unite us.As the founder of Rainbows Publishing LLC, Sverine continues to expand her impact beyond children's literature, embracing a broad range of printed content that reflects her commitment to cultural diversity and education. Guided by the words of Susan Sontag: ""I haven't been everywhere, but it is on my list."" her philosophy reflects not only her desire to continue exploring but also her commitment to connecting cultures through her stories."
