The Expeditionary Culture Field Guides (ECFGs) are pocket-size handbooks packed with invaluable cultural information. The guides are designed to help US forces achieve mission success in culturally complex environments. The fundamental information contained within will help you understand the cultural dimension of your assigned location and gain skills necessary for success. This Guide consists of 2 Parts: Part 1 Culture General provides the foundational knowledge needed to operate effectively in any global environment with a focus on the Baltic States. Part 2 Culture Specific describes unique cultures features of Lithuania society. It applies culture-general concepts to help increase your knowledge of your deployment location. This section is designed to complement other pre-deployment training. Audience: This guide is intended for members of the military who will be deployed to Lithuania to prepare them for their missions. Middle school students and above could utilize this publication for research to complete classroom projects and assignments for social studies and global studies classes.
