Author InformationDr Christian Kaunert holds a PhD in International Politics from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth. He is currently Senior Lecturer in Politics and International Relations at the University of Dundee. He has been awarded a Jean Monnet Chair in EU Justice and Home Affairs and a Marie Curie Career Integration Grant (2012-2016). He previously worked at the University of Salford from January 2007 to September 2012. In 2010, he started a Marie Curie Senior Research Fellowship at the European University Institute in Florence until September 2012. His monograph European Internal Security has been published by Manchester University Press (2010). He is Editor of the Journal of Contemporary European Research (JCER), as well as a member of the executive committee of the University Association for Contemporary European Studies (UACES). Dr Sarah Léonard is Lecturer in Politics at the University of Dundee, UK, and Marie Curie Research Fellow at the Centre for European Studies, Sciences Po, Paris, France. She received her PhD in International Politics from the University of Wales, Aberystwyth, United Kingdom. She is also Editor of the Journal of Contemporary European Research (JCER). Her articles have appeared in journals such as European Security, Terrorism and Political Violence, and the Journal of European Public Policy.
