Reviews

Author Information

Fuqing Yuan was a software engineer. In 2004, he accidentally encountered quality/reliability topics and unfortunately, he found it fascinating. Since then, he has devoted himself to this field. During this period, he obtained both his master’s and Ph.D. degrees. Currently, he works as an associate professor at the University of Tromsø in Norway. Throughout his research on reliability, he has explored probability, statistics, optimization, numerical analysis, simulation, materials science, physics, signal processing, condition monitoring, sensor development, and machine learning. This multidisciplinary research has given him a broad and diverse knowledge base. This book represents part of the outcome of his work in the field. History is a continuous process, and reliability remains a persistent challenge in industry. It is his hope that this book helps students and researchers discover more effective and efficient methods for addressing reliability problem.
