Overview

Drawn from Post Institute surveys and organized into three parts—Daily Life, Social Life, and On the Job—Peter Post tackles the etiquette topics of real concern to today’s men. The advice is quick, strategic, and sensible, enriched by sidebars, tips, and stories from Peter Post’s own experience. Some questions he answers include: • What does “casual” mean in an invitation • Should a man precede a woman through a revolving door to push for her, or step aside and let her enter first • When passing a coworker in the hallway, how many times should greetings be exchanged on a given day • How to tell if a wedding invitation includes a man’s girlfriend Short and shoot-from-the-hip honest; Peter Post’s Essential Manners for Men helps men make the right decisions about what to do and say in every situation that counts.
