OverviewTELEPATH ALERT! Democracy is crumbling in the Interstellar Dominion Electorates as the reactionary LORDS party plans a coup to seize power. If Dar and Samantha can't get their message to Terra in time, nothing will prevent the forces of totalitarianism from taking control. What's more, every police ship in space has just been alerted that Dar and Samantha are dangerous telepaths to be shot on sight. Dar and Sam meet a colorful cast of characters along to way who join their quest, including a wandering poet, a tech-savvy monk, and a wealthy medieval reenactor, to name just a few. Suspense and adventure abound as Dar and friends are pursued across the galaxy, from a far-flung prison planet to the capital on Earth, as they race to save the world from itself. The chase is on in this prequel to the Warlock of Gramarye series. This book is worth more than one read. - Goodreads It's primarily a humorous novel . . . ranging from intellectual quips to groan-worthy puns to broad political satire to sheer silliness. - Library Thing This is a phenomenal book that hits every element I'm looking for in sci fi. Fun adventure and social commentary that keeps you thinking. - Amazon Author InformationChristopher Stasheff was a teacher, thespian, techie, and author of science fiction & fantasy novels. One of the pioneers of science fantasy, his career spanned four decades, 44 novels (including translations into Czech, German, Italian, Russian, and Japanese), 29 short stories, and seven 7 anthologies. His novels are famous for their humor (and bad puns), exploration of comparative political systems, and philosophical undertones. He always had difficulty distinguishing fantasy from reality and tried to compensate by teaching college. When teaching proved too real, he gave it up in favor of writing full time. He tended to pre-script his life, but couldn't understand why other people never got their lines right. This caused a fair amount of misunderstanding with his wife and four children. He wrote novels because it was the only way he could be the director, the designer, and all the actors too. Tab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
