Zhen-Yu Tian is a full professor at the Institute of Engineering Thermophysics, Chinese Academy of Sciences and University of Chinese Academy of Sciences. His research areas include advanced diagnostics, combustion reaction kinetics, catalytic combustion, and variable gravity combustion. He got several awards such as the Fellow of the Combustion Institute, the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars, Beijing Outstanding Scholarship, Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship, Bernard Lewis Fellowship, Wuzhonghua Outstanding Researcher, Li Pei Teacher Dedication Award, Wang Kuancheng Leading Talent Program and etc. Up to August 2024, he has published more than 200 peer-reviewed journal papers and applied/authorized about 40 patents.
