Centralising a fictional narrative around the events of the round up and internment of Italian workers in far north Queensland, gives a voice to those impacted by these events. Author Information

Debbie Terranova is an award-winning author of urban crime mysteries with a conscience. She has written contemporary and historical fiction, crime mystery novels, and short stories. In 2018, she was awarded a Q ANZAC 100 Fellowship from the State Library of Queensland for her project entitled 'Queensland Women and War: a multicultural perspective'. 'Enemies within these Shores', historical fiction about life, love, and internment in Australia during World War Two, is her third novel. Crime mystery novels, 'Baby Farm' and 'The Scarlet Key' are gripping romps in and around Brisbane, featuring a dynamic duo of journalist super-sleuths, Seth VerBeek and Cate Bradshaw.
