"Dr. Beth Middleton is a research ecologist with National Wetlands Research Center, United States Geological Survey in Lafayette, Louisiana, where she works on the effects of climate change on baldcypress swamp function. Her work has contributed to the understanding of world wetland restoration and global climate change. Among her books is ""Wetland restoration, flood pulsing and disturbance dynamics"". She has also written more than 70 peer reviewed journal articles on the function of world wetlands including baldcypress swamps (USA), coastal freshwater and saltmarsh (USA), peatlands (China, Madagascar, USA), floodplain forests (Turkey), and monsoonal wetlands (India and Costa Rica)."
