He received a PhD in Economics and Social Sciences from the Indian Institute of Management (IIM), Bangalore. He has been appointed as an Expert Member of various Inter-Ministerial Groups on Services Trade by the Government of India and also of the FICCI National Council on Services by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI). His research interests include trade policy and regulations, the WTO, services trade, investment, e-commerce, and international migration.
