Two methods are used: the Method by the Use of the Plan, where the orthographic projections of rays are used, and the Method by Scale. In the former, all details should be drawn with instruments, especially if there is much mechanical labor en tailed. On the other hand, the Method by Scale should serve the purpose, and is, in fact, the quicker process, where the accurate location of the leading or important points only is desired. The first method is discussed mainly for the assistance of the mechanical draftsman, whereas the second is intended for the artist and free hand draftsman.
