Overview

Igbo Uzo is one of the strongest communities in Anioma forced to survive the forces of the late 19th century to the early 20th century when the British soldiers invaded the Enu Ani communities in the Delta Region of Nigeria. A young man must fulfill an age long prophecy, and put an end to British domination of Anioma to save his community. 'Ekumeku' The Rising Sun builds a story around the movement of the Igbos (a tribe in Nigeria) to fight off colonialism. Fire! And when the mountain of fire storms the lands of Anioma. Enemies beyond the Niger River surge the lands. People held in bondage. Lands flood innocent blood. At the time when brothers shall come against brothers. Darkness tales over the lands of Anioma. All over the lands of Anioma will come a storm of jubilation. For the gods will raise a warrior and a raven. They shall rise with the sun! Anioma shall be protected against the enemies of fire.
