Dr Monika Kashyap, currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Management, HNB Garhwal University, Uttarakhand, has a teaching experience of 8 years. This includes both undergraduate and postgraduate teaching. She pursued MBA and PhD from Himachal Pradesh University, Shimla. Her areas of interest and specialization are finance and human resource management. Dr Kashyap has published numerous research articles in national and international journals of repute. She has been a resource person to academic institutions and also government organizations and delivers lectures on issues of contemporary relevance. Along with teaching, Dr Kashyap actively fulfils the administrative responsibilities at the HNB Garhwal University. She was the convener for three events of the industry–academia interface held at HNB Garhwal University and made sincere efforts to deepen the linkages between the university and the industry. Dr Monika Kashyap and Dr Mahendra Babu Kuruva have been awarded the Best Paper Award for their paper on foreign direct investment (FDI) in retail in a national conference held at Himachal Pradesh University, in March 2014. Dr Mahendra Babu Kuruva, currently Assistant Professor at the Department of Business Management, HNB Garhwal University, has a postgraduate teaching experience of 5 years. He is also the Assistant Dean, Students Welfare, and the Assistant Director, Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC) at the University. His areas of specialization are international finance and open economy macroeconomics. Along with publications in various national and international journals, Dr Kuruva has also contributed columns on contemporary international issues to the editorial pages of Eenadu, one of the largest circulated dailies in India. He also wrote columns on political and economic issues in reputed Hindi news dailies such as Amar Ujala and Hindustan that are widely circulated in seven North Indian states. He was the co-convener for three events of the industry–academia interface held at HNB Garhwal University. He has also been a resource person to many academic institutions and also government organizations to deliver lectures on issues of contemporary relevance. He had the privilege of being an invited delegate to ‘Delhi Economics Conclave’ by the Ministry of Finance, Government of India, in 2012 and 2013.
