Author Information

"Author Norma G. Jackson attended Cornell College in Mt. Vernon, Iowa for two years and graduated cum laude from the University of Maryland. She credits her quick wit and grit to her father's warped sense of humor and Cornell College's small classroom sizes of 8 to 10 students. Ms. Jackson lives in Bowie, Maryland, with her husband, Leroy Jackson, Jr., of 23 years. She has been blessed with two brilliant and beautiful daughters, Emmanuelle and Françoise, and two amazing granddaughters, Layah and Paris. As the former wife of a high ranking Citibank official, Ms. Jackson developed her love of writing from her years of traveling through Europe, the Sub-Sahara, Central and West Africa (Niger, Burkina Faso, Cameroun, Nigeria, Côte Ivoire, Benin). People watching became a daily game to her. Her husband's assignments couldn't keep up with her rapid imagination and her thirst for 'Why?' Ms. Jackson's observations of others led her to discover the strategy that helped transform her own health and subsequently give birth to her book, ""Eat Like White Chick."""
