Joanna Greace (born June 19, 1983) is an American chef, restaurateur, activist and author. She is the owner of Mother Earth, a restaurant famous for its organic, locally grown ingredients. She was born in San Francisco, California, grew up in Sandy Springs, Georgia and later Branford, Connecticut. He matriculated at Guilford College in North Carolina, but quit and entered the Culinary Institute of America in 2001 and graduated in 2005. Greace started cooking professionally in 2006: central to the operations and philosophy of Mother Earth is her dedication to using organic ingredients. She has become a crusader for organic foods, believing that they are both better for the environment and for people's health in addition to tasting superior to commercially grown, non-organic foods. She met her husband, Richard Johnson, while working at her Restaurant. They married on April 30, 2010, in Santa Barbara, California.
