Reviews

"If honesty is a mental illness, the poetry in Blake More's dystopia unplugged - please talk back is crazy wisdom. Full of earthy gravitas, Blake's poetry is tethered to the stars. Her feral sovereignty is a soulful mirror for our unasked questions. Fred Mitouer, Ph.D., Author Wounds into Blessings and Dragons' Breath Theater ""only boring people get bored"", ""repeated whatever/we were taught/to get ahead"", ""the ocean/under ourskin/expressing/the present/breathing beyond belief/winning within us/if we dare,"" Blake More trusts her heart and writes from her gut. Without thought of apology or shadow of fear. If this isn't a vivid explosion of what it means to say what you feel -- I don't know what is. Martin Hickel, Marin Poetry Festival Organizer, Host Sausalito Sunset Poetry by the Bay, Vice-Chairman Marin Poetry Center, Author of seventeen poetry chapbooks ""Be willing, dear readers, to slither through a poetic mudslide of messy truth, where you will find a mighty lotus blooming from the depth of what it takes to rise toward the light in the darkest of times. Blake sheds her grief and anger with beauty and candor, super natural power, grit, and wit, sounding the alarm for those who have ears to hear this poet's calling, to join the courageous in personal and collective liberation."" Tonijean Bernbaum, Co-Founder Spirit House Center for Attitudinal Healing, Poet, Ceremonialist"
