She has worked in Pupil Referral Units, taught literacy skills to adults, been a youth worker, a family support worker and an independent listener, and has run projects to raise confidence and self-esteem in teenagers. Amy has a degree in philosophy from The University of Nottingham, and gained her Postgraduate Certificate in Education at Sheffield with a term spent studying at the University of Perpignan. She has a Level 5 Diploma in Teaching Learners with Dyslexia / Specific Learning Difficulties and is an Associate of the Dyslexia Guild. Amy now works at a university, giving students individual support with their academic studies.
