Where you have two mature women with brains and moxie in a time period when women were treated as fragile flowers, not capable of competing with a man. Much to the exasperation of Eliza's husband, the good doctor, she keeps finding herself involved in murders along with Connie. This time they solve the case of a husband killed at his own surprise party. Too many suspects, too little time. What a fun read. Love this series. Great characters. Insight into an earlier time in England. Delightful! This was a great whodunit! Very hard to put down. I was kept guessing almost to the end. I felt I knew just when Eliza knew. Dying for a garden party is a very entertaining read, with a plot that is as Convoluted as a Christie novel and an unexpected ending. I have found a new mystery and have enjoyed it so much that I have ordered all of the Eliza Thomson mystery series I hope that there will be more to follow. They seem to be fast pace and usually, I can tell near the beginning who did what, but in this series, I am lucky if I can figure it out halfway through. Thanks so much. I hope that there will be more of Eliza. Author InformationTab Content 6Author Website:Countries AvailableAll regions |
