Author Information

VITALI KONSTANTINOV was born in Bessarabia (USSR) in 1963. He studied art and architecture in Russia and went on to study graphic art, painting and the history of Byzantine art in Germany. He teaches book illustration at the Hochschule fur Angewandte Wissenschaften in Hamburg. His work has received numerous prizes, including the 'Schaoenstes deutsches Buch' prize awarded by the Stiftung Buchkunst for his illustrations in the children's book Seltsame Seiten. Anne Posten translates prose, poetry, and drama from German. The recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship, her translations of authors such as Carl Seelig, Thomas Brasch, Tankred Dorst, and Paul Scheerbart have appeared with New Directions, Christine Burgin/The University of Chicago, n+1, VICE, and Modern Poetry in Translation, among others. She is based in New York and Berlin.
