Dominic Dean and the Seeds of Time is a pacey and twisting time-travel thriller in which no one is who, or even when, they seem to be. Who is telling Dominic the truth, and who should he trust ? For a serial liar who prides himself on his ability to deceive, for the first time in his life Dominic must trust someone else, if he is to stay alive. Dominic Dean is an orphan who has lied and cheated everyone who has crossed his path, and he is about to be thrown off his course at the Faculty; so what comes next for a serial loser? Maybe killing time at a summer school, while earning extra cash as a guinea pig in drugs-trials, might help Dominic delay facing up to his problems. Not helping matters is the fearsome Doctor Conrad, whose legally-binding contract at the laboratory is making Dominic's life unbearable. Dominic has one way out; he must agree to Doctor Conrad's new and bizarre proposal to travel back in time, where he is tasked to find the Seeds of Time and deliver them there to the mysterious Professor Gram. Confusingly, Dominic has only a vague idea of what those seeds really are and how he might find them. Trapped and without a clue, Dominic starts to learn the grim truth about his arrival in the past - the clock is ticking down on his survival - how will he find a way home with the limitations imposed by those awkward time-paradoxes and also avoid the devastating consequences of the Laws of Thermodynamics? Just as pressing, from the point of view of Dominic's survival, is the attentions of the Mafia - a gang who have found out about Dominic's mission, and who will stop at nothing to find him and the Seeds of Time.
