Overview

Written in the midst of one of the most conflicting, transitional, and chaotic periods of his life, The castle is on fire is a collection of poetry that delves into the raw and vulnerable reflections surrounding McCracken's internal and external battles with resurfacing trauma, depression, PTSD, and alcoholism. And through his words, McCracken fleshes out his understanding of himself and place in the world, uncovering his newfound place of healing and recovery from within.
