Dissemination and Implementation of Evidence-Based Psychological Interventions is an excellent state-of-the-art-and-science volume describing contemporary efforts to move beyond evaluating the effectiveness of selected psychotherapies to a broader effort to place these methods in the hands of frontline practitioners and agencies and to encourage them to provide these therapies to clients. -- PsycCRITIQUES This is a terrific volume that tackles a major challenge in mental health care: getting treatments that work to the people who need them.
This book is a must read for agency administrators and state officials concerned with
adopting and effectively using science-based psychotherapies..... I enjoyed reading it, and it left me feeling optimistic about the field, despite my concerns about the conflation of EBP and ESTs. There is a role for ESTs in the process of EBP, but they are not the same. -- Bruce Thayer, PsycCRITIQUES
