She holds a B.A. and an M.A. in French Language and Literature from the State University of New York at Buffalo and a Ph.D. in French from Pennsylvania State University. She has published scholarly articles on George Sand, Octave Mirbeau, E. M. Cioran, and Antoine Pecquet. She is the co-translator of Diverse Thoughts on Man by Antoine Pecquet (1999). Murray D. Sirkis is Professor Emeritus of Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University in Tempe. He has a Ph.D. in physics from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
