Reviews

"""One of the best ways to introduce learning to children is through storytelling and playful learning. This book is intelligently designed to hone up cognitive skills in young readers. Colorful illustrations make the story a lovely visual treat while its interactive storyline will keep little ones glued to the lessons imparted through the story."" Mom's Choice Award ""Holly DiBella-McCarthy is a talented kid-lit author with prose that sings off the page. A delightful little book that is easy to read, fun to follow, and elicited more than a few laughs - and one gasp - from my youngest little reader. We are happy to add this book to our bedtime rotation."" Jamie Michele for Readers' Favorite ""Dilly doesn't have to sit feeling bored for very long before her first friend joins her so the counting lesson Holly DiBella-McCarthy weaves into the book hits the water swimming. At the end of the book, there's an interactive section with two distinct question and answer parts. In a sad but important lesson within the story, one of Dilly's friends falls victim to lake debris which traps them under a littered net. This is made into a conversation topic at the book's conclusion and asks, ""Why isn't play time with friends happy all the time?"" Asher Syed for Readers' Favorite This Generation's ""Make Way for Ducklings"" Dilly Duck Plays All Day is a colorful rhyming and counting book written by a professional educator. The author weaves a fun story with beautiful illustrations. The bonus? A free, downloadable activity book for parents, teachers, and grandparents to build their children's math, sight words and social-emotional intelligence. Dilly Duck Plays All Day is now my go-to birthday gift for the toddlers. Preschoolers, and Kindergarteners in my life."" Margaret H. Greenberg, MAPP, PCC and co-author of The Business of Race (McGraw-Hill, 2021) and Profit from the Positive (McGraw-Hill, 2013) ""Great storybook! Especially love the questions and the extra fun facts at the end."" Carli Jeffrey ""My new favorite book, Dilly Duck Plays All Day by Holly DiBella-McCarthy, is just the kind of children's book I love because it enriches kindergarten readiness and language skills!"" MHud, Speech-Language Pathologist ""Author Holly DiBella-McCarthy brings to children of the youngest years a book which when read by a parent will actually become a lesson on counting from one-to-ten, using a gentle story of ducks just wanting to have fun. The illustrations are truly amazing, showcasing the talent of artist Pradyut Chatterjee who adds a fanciful world of ducks of different species, all playing together. Together, combining the words and pictures, the layout is printed on adjacent pages resulting in a large, easy to read and totally encaptivating storyboard of happiness."" Beth Adams, Pacific Book Review"
