He is an enthusiastic academician in operations management and big data analytics. He served as a senior lecturer at Universiti Teknikal Malaysia Melaka from 2019 to 2022. He also served at the Malaysian Institute of Industrial Technology (MITEC), Universiti Kuala Lumpur (UniKL) from 2017 to 2019. He had worked as a lecturer at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology, Pakistan, from 2007 to 2014. Jia Liu is a Professor of Accounting and Finance in the University of Portsmouth’s Business School, and previously held positions in University of Salford and University of Leeds, UK. She obtained her Ph.D. from the University of Birmingham. Her published research comprises corporate finance, behavioural finance, climate finance, the green economy, empirical asset pricing, financial markets, Big Data, Fintech, corporate governance, ESG, and societal issues. She publishes books on governance, sustainability and decision-making. Her research has featured in Media, including The Conversation.
