Stellt man die Wettermaschine bei S auf, so muss sie die Luft aus der Strecke B S auspumpen und ins Freie [ausblasen; bei B stroemt dann frische Luft nach, und die Maschine wirkt saugend. Wenn dagegen eine bei B aufgestellte Maschine atmospharische Luft ansaugt und in die Strecke treibt, so wirkt sie blasend; die Bewegung der Luft erfolgt wie fruher.
