Wir wollen die Richtung von 0 nach E als die positive Rich tung, die entgegengesetzte als die negative Richtung der Geraden bezeichnen. Dabei werden wir, um die Vorstellungen zu fixieren, ein fur allemal den Punkt E rechts von 0 an nehmen, sodafs die Richtung von 0 aus nach rechts als die positive, die von 0 aus nach links als die negative zu be trachten ist.
