Table of ContentsReviewsAuthor InformationThe Author: Servanne Woodward holds a doctorate from Paris X-Nanterre and a Ph.D. from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. The author first studied aesthetics at Aix-en-Provence and obtained a B.A. in plastic arts. Presently an Assistant Professor at the Wichita State University in the department of Modern Languages, Dr. Woodward received a University research grant in 1990 for a project concerning feminine aesthetics in 18th-century France. The current work was completed thanks to the Beatrice Lebow award. The author has published in many scholarly journals and is a member of several 18th-century associations.
