Robert spearheaded the protective intelligence investigation in New Zealand after the U.S. Embassy received a death threat letter containing laboratory grade potassium cyanide targeting visiting U.S. golfer Tiger Woods. He was a member of the first U.S. diplomatic envoy to return to Libya after a 24-year absence during the reign of dictator Col . Muammar Gaddafi. Robert was temporarily stranded in Brazil with a high-ranking Hezbollah terrorist, he lead the efforts to disrupt and capture a Lebanese terrorist planning to attack the U.S. Embassy in Paraguay, and arrested a Pakistani military jet fighter pilot defector in Texas desiring to kill Americans when he was merely two weeks from joining the U .S .
