Professor Jiuping Xu was the philosophy and social science leading scholar of the 'Ten Thousand Project' in 2016, and has been the Distinguished Professor of the Cheung Kong Scholars Program since 2009. He has published more than 40 books and more than 700 papers, His research focuses on problems in applied mathematics and complex physical chemistry engineering, using decision, technology innovation and application research. He has also been the President of the International Society for Management Science and Engineering Management since 2007. He was appointed as Lifetime Academician at the International Academy for Systems and Cybernetic Sciences in 2010, Lifetime Academician at the Lotfi Zadeh International Academy of Sciences in 2014, Foreign Academician of the Mongolian National Academy of Sciences in 2016, and Honorary Academician of the Academy of Sciences of Moldova in 2016.
