Excerpt from Descriptions of Triangulation Stations in Georgia All azimuths given in these descriptions are reckoned continuously from true south around by west to south being west north and east Where magnetic azimuths are given they are indicated as such. In general, the surface and underground marks are not in contact, so that a disturbance of the surface mark will not necessarily affect the underground mark. The underground mark should be resorted to only in cases where there is evidence that the surface mark has been disturbed. The dates and name given in each description immediately after the county refer to the date Of establishment of the station, the man by whom it was established, and the date when the station was last recovered. Any person who finds that one of the stations herein described has been disturbed, or that the description no longer fits the facts, is requested to send such information to the Superintendent, Coast and Geodetic Survey, Washington, D.
