KJ Charles spent twenty years as an editor in British publishing before fleeing the scene to become a full-time novelist. She has written thirty novels since then, mostly historical romance with a lot of murder, and her books have been translated into eight languages. The Secret Lives of Country Gentlemen was a Library Journal pick for Best Romance of 2023, and A Nobleman's Guide to Seducing a Scoundrel was chosen by BookPage as Best Romance of 2023.She lives next to a magpie-haunted London park with a supportive husband, two eye-rolling teenagers, and a cat with a history of violence.
