Dare to be transparent is intended for men who love God but struggle with sexual sin; especially same sex attraction. It tells the story of a journey of recovery from a double life in a well known Hispanic Christian artist. The author shares principles of recovery from sexual abuse, emotional codependency, compulsive lying, adultery, the role of the Christian Church as a therapeutic community among many other subjects. Spouses that have been afflicted by the sexual confusion of their husbands, can find answers from a Biblical perspective and hope for the whole family. Parents who have experienced their children coming out to them, will find wisdom in how to deal with this new revelation from their loved ones. This book IS NOT about how to abandon a homosexual lifestyle to embrace a heterosexual orientation. The author understands that our attractions and desires will always be in conflict with our divine original design. It is written for those who clearly understand that homosexuality IS NOT God's ordained lifestyle, in spite of acknowledging those attractions in their lives, hence denominating them as a sin. Dare to be transparent proposes a Biblical way for the church to deal with the subject that we don't hear often preached in our altars because of prejudice, tabu, ignorance or all of the above. It proposes some answers to questions as: -How homosexual behavior is developed? -What should parents do to avoid sexual confusion in our kids? -How a hurt wife should react when dealing with an unfaithful husband? -How to break free from emotional dependency? -How to detect when our children have been molested? -What to do when our teenager children drops the G bomb? -What are God's thoughts towards homosexuality? -Am I ever going to be happy if I'm not an openly gay person? Author Information

Charlie Hernandez is a Christian music minister with over 25 years of experience as an arranger, composer, musician, preacher and teacher of the Word. His passion is to help people get closer to God and enjoy freedom in their lives. He has made eleven (11) solo recordings and collaborated with countless artists in Christian music as an arranger, composer, vocalist, or just doing technical work. He was one of the founders, along with Claudina Brinn and XXXIII DC of the International Conferences of Praise held at Puerto Rico, his native country. In 2006 he published his first book in Spanish entitled Atrevete a see Transparente in which he shares his testimony. In the month of January 2007 he launched his latest production of live bilingual Praise and Worship Para adorarte a ti (To Worship You). He currently works as an Associate Pastor in Faith Assembly of God Christian Church in Orlando Florida where he lives with his wife Nany and three children, and travels abroad as a lecturer and international speaker.
