Overview

Expanded Distribution. Support your local community: order this book in your favorite bookstore! There was nothing Daisy Hayes loved more than going places, even though she was totally blind. And travel she did in her long and eventful life; being married to an intercontinental pilot for many years helped a bit. But not being able to see a place does not mean you cannot get to know local life quite well, especially when you seem to attract trouble like a magnet. So here are three of our blind sleuth's most exciting and exotic adventures. First Spring in Paris: In 1946 Daisy and her friend Beatrice moved to Paris, where very interesting things were going on, like the existentialist scene in Saint-Germain-des-Pres. But just as they were settling into a new life, a very disturbing murder case was thrown in their path, and Daisy had to rise to the challenge as never before. Honeymoon in Rio: In 1952, newly wed to a pilot, Daisy took off to South America on her honeymoon. But an engine of the Super Constellation her husband was flying broke down: was it sabotage? They were grounded in Rio for repairs, and soon uncovered a murderous plot. In the end Daisy's very life was threatened by an elusive arch-criminal. Berlin Fall: In 1972 Daisy had a patient who worked for MI6. And she was planning to visit Berlin with her friend Margery, a scientist. Without even knowing it Marge had a connection to a high-ranking communist party boss... Unwittingly the two ladies got mixed up in a spy plot that did not turn out the way the spymasters on both sides of the Wall had envisioned.
