Overview

Daisy's Adventures is a collection of stories about an orphan adopted in the United States during WWII. Daisy and her mother visit American Joe's house for lunch. There, they meet other service-men, who explain how a parrot may have a very different meaning to them than what Daisy expected. Parrots have a soothing effect on traumatized soldiers and also have helped save pilots. Wynter Sommers is the pseudonym for an American writing team. One is a technology specialist. The other has thirty years of experience applying her PhD in Education to teach classrooms of enthusiastic students.
