Author Information

Edmond Eugène Alexis Rostand (1868-1918) was a French poet and dramatist. He is associated with neo-romanticism and is known best for his play Cyrano de Bergerac. Rostand's plays contrasted with the naturalistic theatre popular during the late nineteenth century and provided a final, very belated example of Romantic drama in France. David Bendena is an actor and a musician based in the Midwest. His theatre experience over the past twenty years has taken him to stages throughout Chicago, Kansas City, and Michigan. He is very proud to be a member of the Actors Equity Association and to be a Resident Artist with the Purple Rose Theatre Company. Ryan Carlson is an in-demand narrator with a background in film and stage acting. Patrick Loos studied theater and voice at Wayne State University. A professional actor and audiobook narrator, he currently resides in Detroit, Michigan. Caitlin Cavannaugh is a talented voiceover artist, actor, singer, harpist, and accordionist. She is a company member of the Purple Rose Theatre Company and received her bachelor's degree in acting from Northern Illinois University and a Certificate of Acting from the Moscow Art Theatre School in Russia. James Kuhl received his bachelor's degree in theater from Alma College and his master's degree in acting from Wayne State University. A member of The Detroit Public Theatre's Advisory Board since its inception in 2015, he has also served as an adjunct professor at Eastern Michigan University. He is committed to a lifelong career of supporting and advocating for the well-being of artists and the art of theater. Angie Kane is a theatre artist and audiobook narrator based in Southeast Michigan. She is a proud member of the Actors' Equity Association and a Resident Artist of The Purple Rose Theatre Company. Bradley Philips has served as a resident artist at the Purple Rose Theatre since 2014, where he works as a musician, sound designer, and actor. In 2019, he won a Wilde Award for Best Musical Director for his involvement with the Purple Rose production of Willow Run by Jeffery Duncan. In addition to his work with the theater, he also teaches composition and multi-media production at Concordia University. Steve Wojtas is a classically trained actor who holds a master's degree in performance. He specializes in bringing texts to life and is an expert at incorporating many different styles into his voiceovers. Michael Wecht is an in-demand narrator with a background in film and stage acting.
