In this thesis humble attempt has been made to examine the provisions relating to- Cyber Crimes in India: Issues Challenges and Strategies. The focus of the present research work though concentrates on cyber crimes issues challenges and strategies to control cyber crimes in India. It involves a substantial study of modern computers, cyber space, criminal jurisprudence covering the new issues. Law of Information Technology and its jurisdiction, cyber forensic science relating to new crimes, legislations of different nations and rights. The Internet is the latest outcomes of the electronic revolution. The cyberspace is intangible, abstract and highly symbolic in nature. The subject of interest is concentrated upon the growing concern about use and exploitation of latest electronic communication systems for criminal activities and commission of cyber crimes and appropriate counter measures, which are being adopted by developed and developing nations including legislators, law enforcement agencies and security services. At present increasing amounts of information are available in digital form. But the technologies which provide easy access to information raise difficult fundamental issues relating to jurisdiction, privacy, IPR issues and cyber security. In this new information age, we need creation of cyber crime control units to prevent hacking, copyright violations and other forms of cyber crimes that cost social economic, trade and business systems of a country. This vast work could not be materialized without the active and wise guidance, supervision and advice.
