Isaac Reed is a PhD. Candidate in Sociology at Yale University who works in social theory, cultural sociology, and the sociology of sex and gender. Jeffrey Alexander is Lillian Chavenson Saden Professor of Sociology at Yale University. He is the author most recently of The Civil Sphere (Oxford 2006).Jeffrey C. Alexander is the Lillian Chavenson Saden Professor of Sociology at Yale University, where he is Codirector of the Center for Cultural Sociology. Among his many influential books is The Civic Sphere (Oxford University Press 2006). He is also coeditor of the Yale Cultural Sociology Series published by Paradigm.
